Serious Topics unveils a solo show titled Michael Arata: Culture, Borderline, Layered Time.
The exhibition of new still-life paintings by the LA-based artist highlights his joyful figurative works. Growing up in San Francisco in the 1960s, Arata’s work is influenced by civil rights protests. Now here we are again with massive protests taking place around the country. However, the artist keeps a positive outlook within his work, despite the harsh reality of the state of today’s current affairs.
